Oh So Serum…

Processed With Darkroom

I don’t know about you, but I love face serums. They can be the key to a great skincare routine with the ability to do amazing things for your skin. That said, I was super excited to try California Pure Naturals Renewal Facial Serum. It has the same Blackberry Antioxidant Complex as their Cleanser, plus Argan Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. And it’s a natural skincare product.

I have been using this serum for the past few weeks, and so far I am happy with the results. It has a nice, smooth texture, is easy to apply, absorbs well into the skin, helps keep my skin hydrated (I’ve seriously gone without a moisturizer a couple nights, and my skin was still moisturized!) and all the right ingredients to fight the signs of aging.

*Please note I was gifted this serum to review.

A Mudd Of A Mask

It’s time for another Face Mask Friday! Over the holidays I picked up the PUR Cosmetics/Grinch movie face mask collab set so I could try PUR’s four best-selling face masks.

This week I tried the Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Mask with Clay. Overall, I was pleased with the results. This mask definitely gave my face a deep clean and my skin felt smoother afterwards.

The downsides of this mask were that it was hard to remove and that my skin was really red for about an hour after using this mask, so it is probably not great for those with sensitive skin.

A Revitalizing Cleanser

Happy Skincare Sunday! And it was a sunny and relatively warm day here in Michigan.

I have been using this California Pure Naturals Revitalizing Cleansing Gel for the past couple weeks, and it is so refreshing and gentle on the skin. Using a Blackberry Antioxidant Complex made of fruits grown in California, it brightens and energizes the skin with a youthful glow. This cleanser also has orange peel and calendula flower extracts which boosts collagen production.

This Cleanser is all natural, free of parabens, sulfates and gluten and vegan. And it’s only $9.99 on Amazon! Linked here: https://amzn.to/2C4mn0j

Candy Cane Dreams… and Masks

Processed With Darkroom

Can you believe that it is the last Face Mask Friday of 2018?! This year flew by. And since it is technically still the holidays, I decided to try Ulta Beauty’s Sweet Candy Cane Mud Mask. With cooling peppermint oil and shea butter, this mask is supposed to be incredibly moisturizing.

I love the pink color of this face mask. It brightens up a gloomy day. And though I was skeptical of what the results would be, I can say that my skin felt moisturized and smoother after using this. The only downside? Since it is a Candy Cane face mask with peppermint oil, I expected it to have that refreshing peppermint smell (confession – I love peppermint!!!), but it was lacking that scent. That said, I would say this mask is still worth checking out.

The Forgotten Skincare… A “Yeouth”-ful Neck!

The neck and décolletage areas are frequently ignored in a skincare routine (thus making them the first giveaways of age). Because of this, I was excited to try Yeouth Skincare’s Neck Firming Cream. With Green Tea, Argireline and Vitamin C, this neck cream not only moisturizes, it tightens sagging skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improves skin elasticity. But how? Let’s take a closer look at these ingredients.

Green Tea – Green Tea has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory abilities, which can slow down the signs of aging. It has also been known to reduce the effects of sun damage.

Argireline – Argireline is a peptide commonly referred to as “Botox in a Bottle.” It stimulates collagen production and can theoretically limit the ability of neurotransmitters to activate facial movement, therefore reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Vitamin C – Vitamin C is an antioxidant with anti-aging properties that brightens skin, improves hydration and can even out your skin tone.

All of these combined can make for a great neck cream. I’ve been using this product for almost two weeks now, and noticed a difference after the first use. It is incredibly moisturizing and definitely helps combat those neck wrinkles and sagging skin along the jawline. Now I can wrap all these Christmas gifts as the neck cream works its magic.

Naughty… or Nice Face Mask

Processed With Darkroom

Now, if this is the lump of coal Santa leaves, it may be ok to be a little naughty… Just kidding! Or am I???

So I tried this Lump Of Coal face mask from Bath and Body Works. It’s infused with purifying charcoal and claims to revitalize and rejuvenate the skin. I would say it did just that. My face felt cleansed and refreshed when I removed it. Perfect for a makeup free Friday!

Overall, much better than the other Bath and Body Works mask I tried. Since this one was successful, I plan to try out more of their masks in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned!

Charcoal And Gold… Mask

Processed With Darkroom

Woohoo, it’s Friday! Who else is ready for the weekend? Anyway, this Face Mask Friday I was excited to try the Masque Bar 24k Black Gold Peel-Off Mask that was in my Influenster Let It Snow Vox Box. With charcoal and 24k gold, this mask is supposed to draw out impurities and brighten the skin.

Not going to lie, I was a little nervous to try this mask since the last charcoal peel-off mask I tried was so painful to remove. I am happy to report that this one peeled off really easily and my skin felt cleaner and looked brighter afterwards.
