Happy Skincare Sunday! And it was a sunny and relatively warm day here in Michigan.
I have been using this California Pure Naturals Revitalizing Cleansing Gel for the past couple weeks, and it is so refreshing and gentle on the skin. Using a Blackberry Antioxidant Complex made of fruits grown in California, it brightens and energizes the skin with a youthful glow. This cleanser also has orange peel and calendula flower extracts which boosts collagen production.
This Cleanser is all natural, free of parabens, sulfates and gluten and vegan. And it’s only $9.99 on Amazon! Linked here: https://amzn.to/2C4mn0j

It’s the first full week of January, and you know what that means? It’s time for Ulta Beauty’s Love Your Skin Event! I’ve gone through their deal calendar, and these are the picks I plan to either try or stock up on. And don’t forget, if you are a Platinum or Diamond member, you get free shipping on these daily picks. Happy Shopping!
So… It’s the first Face Mask Friday of 2019! I’m excited to see what fun face masks I find this year, and I started with this Dr. Jart+ All That Contours Prescriptment (yes, that’s how they spell it) Face Mask. Infused with some great ingredients (see below), this mask helps with anti-aging and skin elasticity. I don’t know about you but I’m all about anything that helps my skin look younger!
Ingredients:
Caffeine – Caffeine firms the skin and helps with contours.
Isomerized Safflower Acid – This ingredient focuses on improving skin elasticity.
Aloe Leaf Juice – Aloe is an amazing hydrator that also soothes the skin.
This was an interesting face mask as it came in two pieces that were more of a stretchy gel material. The bottom half even goes around your ears to hold it in place (which also makes it really tight). It was super easy to apply, and the best part? My skin appeared to look younger right after I used it. I love it when a mask shows immediate results, so this face mask is a winner in my book. Great way to kick off the New Year!
In a world where we are always on the go, dry shampoo has become a must, but finding one that works can be a challenge. That’s why I was excited when this Not Your Mother’s Refreshing Dry Shampoo was part of my Influenster Let It Snow Vox Box. Another dry shampoo to try. Maybe this one will be a winner.
This dry shampoo is part of Not Your Mother’s Natural line and smells really good. Unfortunately, that’s where the positive part of this review ends. This product only worked ok for my hair. A little background – I have always had oily roots, and even with a great dry shampoo, my hair can only go two days without a wash. When I used this Not Your Mother’s product, I had to spray a ton of it on my hair, and my hair still didn’t get through the second day (and forget about being able to wear it down). That said, I do believe this would work well for a lot of people, just not me.
My go-to dry shampoo is still Batiste. And don’t forget the dry shampoo trick… Spray it on before bed, so it soaks up all the oils while you sleep.
*Please note I received this dry shampoo for free in an Influenster Vox Box.
Let me just say that I was super excited when this Halogen sweatshirt arrived in time for me to kick off 2019! With the faux pearl detail on the black, it is so cute yet comfy and can be worn casually or dressed up a bit. Full disclosure, it does feel a little heavy when you put it on at first, but you don’t even notice after a few minutes.
It’s time for a little fun, am I right?! 2018 was a busy year filled with so many amazing moments and memories. Now we are closing out the year with a low key night, filled with Netflix, delivery pizza and cuddles with the kids as we wait for the ball to drop at midnight. I hope you are having an amazing New Years Eve and are having fun (while staying safe!)! Cheers to an amazing 2019!!! Happy New Year!!!
Now, on an entirely unrelated note, I love this Wildfox Couture sweatshirt from a few years ago. It’s super comfy and stood the test of time. Plus, it’s still in style! While you can’t get this exact shirt anymore, I have linked some similar ones below. Enjoy!
I love MAC Cosmetics lip glosses. And I love a good sale. So imagine how much I love this sale alert?! MAC’s Oh Sweetie Lip Glosses are part of Nordstrom’s Half-Yearly Sale!
I am a huge fan of this lip line and wear this pink lip gloss all the time. The color is called Sugar Cookies (and it smells and tastes like a sugar cookie too… ummm, yum!!!), and it’s the perfect combination of a shimmery unique hue that still works for an everyday look. You should totally check it out at the link below. Enjoy!
Can you believe that it is the last Face Mask Friday of 2018?! This year flew by. And since it is technically still the holidays, I decided to try Ulta Beauty’s Sweet Candy Cane Mud Mask. With cooling peppermint oil and shea butter, this mask is supposed to be incredibly moisturizing.
I love the pink color of this face mask. It brightens up a gloomy day. And though I was skeptical of what the results would be, I can say that my skin felt moisturized and smoother after using this. The only downside? Since it is a Candy Cane face mask with peppermint oil, I expected it to have that refreshing peppermint smell (confession – I love peppermint!!!), but it was lacking that scent. That said, I would say this mask is still worth checking out.
Christmas is over, so you know what that means? It’s time for some of the best sales to close out the year! This is a great time to stock up on clothes for those remaining winter months at a great price (the shirt I’m wearing above is only $7.60 with FREE SHIPPING at the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale – you can buy it here https://shopstyle.it/v/iG3), or to gift yourself that item you were hoping you’d get, but didn’t. Find some of my fav Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale finds below:
Green Tea – Green Tea has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory abilities, which can slow down the signs of aging. It has also been known to reduce the effects of sun damage.
Argireline – Argireline is a peptide commonly referred to as “Botox in a Bottle.” It stimulates collagen production and can theoretically limit the ability of neurotransmitters to activate facial movement, therefore reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Vitamin C – Vitamin C is an antioxidant with anti-aging properties that brightens skin, improves hydration and can even out your skin tone.
All of these combined can make for a great neck cream. I’ve been using this product for almost two weeks now, and noticed a difference after the first use. It is incredibly moisturizing and definitely helps combat those neck wrinkles and sagging skin along the jawline. Now I can wrap all these Christmas gifts as the neck cream works its magic.
